New iSave 50 and 70 - Highest Capacity ERDs ever

5/25/2016  |  Latest

To achieve this remarkable combination of energy efficiency and output, Danfoss engineers have utilized the same design principles that have won the smaller iSave ERDs, including iSave 40, so much praise: Instead of separating an isobaric pressure exchanger, high-pressure booster pump and electric motor, they’ve collected all key components in one compact footprint.

Higher capacity through innovation

In order to deliver increased capacity (75% greater than the iSave 40) at efficiency rates of up to 92%, Danfoss R&D department had to do more than make the new iSave 50 and iSave 70 bigger. Development of the latest ERDs was only possible through a number of technological innovations.

Danfoss engineers had to re-think the construction of our isobaric pressure exchanger and redesign the vane pump. Along the way, they also picked up a few new international patents and broke new ground in Danfoss’ long tradition of precision manufacturing at the dedicated iSave production facility in Denmark.

The new iSaves are ideal for mid-size SWRO trains

The mid-size market is the fastest-growing SWRO segment worldwide, and Danfoss’ new iSaves make it easier than ever to optimize energy efficiency in plants up to 30,000 CMD.

Now, operators can radically reduce the size and complexity of individual trains and still achieve market-leading efficiency.
